Quick confidence check
- Age: Great from around 6 months.
- Texture: Blend smooth for younger babies; mash thicker as they grow.
- How much: Even 1–3 tablespoons can be completely normal.
- Remember: Breastmilk/formula is still the main nutrition.
Your job is to offer. Your baby decides how much.
Ingredients
- 110 g canned tuna in spring water, drained
- 100 g cauliflower, cut into florets
- 100 g zucchini peeled, chopped coarsely
- 1 tbsp (20g) grated cheddar
Instructions
- Steam cauliflower pieces until cooked through, about 15 minutes.
- Add zucchini and steam a further 5 minutes.
- Add the mixture to a food processor or blender and puree together with the canned tuna and cheese. You can add breast milk, water or formula if a smoother consistency is desired.
Too thick? Add a splash of water/stock/milk. Too runny? Simmer a little longer.
