Raspberry Milk Honey Smoothie
After using Little Mashies as baby food pouches, Little Mashies can be used as reusable yoghurt pouches or reusable smoothie pouches! Here is a delicious raspberry smoothie (scroll down).
This delightful smoothie recipe is perfect to put in your reusable pouches for toddlers and kids, or for adults you can use our reusable soft silicone straws to drink this with! Another tip we do quite often is to prepare our smoothies in batches so we save time during the week. There are a few ways you can do this. Firstly you can triple the recipe then pour the smoothie into reusable pouches or our reusable silicone bags and freeze it for another day. When you are ready to drink it simply defrost the mix inside the reusable pouch or reusable silicone bag.
Another way to prep smoothies ahead of time is to simply place 1 batch of the ingredients into the blender (for todays drink), then another 2 batches into a reusable silicone bag (we like the 500ml size for smoothie bags). You can then place the 2nd and 3rd batches (within the bags) into the fridge or freezer (depending on when you plan to consume them), and then simply dump it all into the blander on the next day you want to make this type of smoothie! For us we do smoothie prep on a Sunday night.
We have 5 x 500ml reusable silicone bags that we fill with ingredients for the smoothie. We place 2 in the fridge and the other 3 in the freezer. On Monday and Tuesday morning we simply dump the contents of the reusable bags into the blender, then blend and drink. On Tuesday night we pull out the frozen bag and place it in the fridge overnight so that it is defrosted for Wednesday. On Wednesday night we pull out the bag for Thursday and on Thursday night we pull out the reusable smoothie bag for Friday. This allows us to do all our smoothie prep on one day, but to enjoy delicious smoothies throughout the working week!

1 tsp Honey (optional)
1/2 cup Milk of choice (cow, cashew, coconut etc)

Raspberries are extremely nutrient dense, which means that they provide many nutrients for a small amount of calories. The tiny fruit that are joined together to make a raspberry each contain their own seed and each one is a good source of fibre. Raspberries also contain antioxidants.
