Pear, Prunes And Ginger Porridge

Prunes are the most effective food when your baby has constipation problems. They are extremely rich in fiber and super sweet!

Prunes are so awesome that I’ve done quite a few recipes containing it. Some are complicated, for older kids, and some are simple for pureed baby food. Pear, Prunes And Ginger Porridge

Ingredients:
1 cup oatmeal
1 pear, cored and diced
1/2 cup prunes (seeded)
3 cups water
Pinch of ground ginger

Instructions:
Step 1: In a medium pot, bring water to boil. Add oats, prunes and ginger. Lower heat and simmer for 20-30 minutes, stirring regularly, until all the water is absorbed. Quick oats will cook in a much shorter amount of time.
 
Step 2: Puree the chopped pear in a food processor or mash with a fork.
 
Step 3: Add the pear into the oatmeal mixture and serve.
