Chicken, Carrot & Zucchini Baby Food Recipe
This protein rich puree is soft on gums and full of vitamin A and fibre. Perfect from 6 months and easily adapted for toddlers and adults with our One Meal, Everyone Eats system.
New foods are exciting and can sometimes slow things down. The constipation plan gives clear steps if poos firm up.

Why chicken is a winning first food
Chicken provides high quality protein for growth, vitamin B6 for development, and selenium for immune support. Carrots add vitamin A, while zucchini contributes fibre and hydration. Together they form a gentle, balanced meal for babies.
Quick scan Signs your baby could be constipated
- Hard pellet like poos or less than three poos in a week.
- Straining or crying with bowel movements.
- Tummy looks tight or your baby is passing a lot of wind.
- Your baby avoids the potty or clenches during pushes.
Why the usual advice often does not work
You have probably already tried water, fruit and fibre. True relief comes from restoring the right gut bacteria balance and feeding those bacteria with targeted prebiotic foods.
What makes this plan different
- Explains which bacterial strains support softer stools.
- Shows exactly how to feed those bacteria using baby friendly foods and textures.
- Gives timing, order and food combinations that prevent constipation from returning.
- Includes a seven day rhythm for meals, fluids and rest so your baby’s gut can reset naturally.

Baby Led Weaning adaptations
For BLW, skip pureeing. Shape into soft, finger sized strips or patties your baby can grasp. Always supervise and ensure pieces are soft enough to gum.
Tip: Serve on Little Mashies suction plates to minimise mess and make meals fun.

Spoon feeding was too slow. My baby hums yum yum yum while sucking puree from these.

I make fresh, healthy snacks without added sugar. Even bought a set for a friend’s kids.
