Pear And Banana Yoghurt Baby Food Recipe
Homemade Pear And Banana Yoghurt Recipe for reusable food pouches by Little Mashies

Why is pear a great baby food choice for reusable food pouches?
Pear is often recommended as one of the first fruits for babies because it rarely causes allergies and can help soften stools. Babies naturally enjoy the sweet flavour, and pears contain fibre and natural sugars that support digestion.
Pears can be steamed, baked, stewed or served fresh before being blended into baby food. Because they are naturally sweet they also combine well with other fruits and yoghurt.
Ingredients
1 cup pear, cored and chopped
1 banana
1/4 cup full fat yoghurt
Instructions
Step 1: Steam the diced pears until soft.
Step 2: Blend the pears, banana and yoghurt in a blender or food processor until smooth.
Step 3: If preparing in bulk you can freeze the puree in ice cube trays or spoon it directly into Little Mashies reusable food pouches.
Step 4: Label and date your pouches before storing in the fridge or freezer.
Step 5: To clean your reusable pouches watch the cleaning guide here. The curved design allows food to rinse out easily and the pouches are dishwasher safe.

For Baby Led Weaning and Older Kids
For baby led weaning you skip purees and offer larger pieces of food that babies can hold themselves. From 6–9 months foods are usually about two finger widths so babies can grip them easily.
From around 9 months foods are chopped smaller to reduce choking risk. By around 12 months most children move to small bite-sized foods similar to what the rest of the family eats.
