Potato & Corn Baby Food Recipe
Feeling overwhelmed? When you try a new baby food, watch for constipation. Keep the Baby Constipation Plan on hand so you can act quickly and calmly.
This puree blends creamy potato with naturally sweet corn for a smooth, filling first food. A source of fibre, B vitamins and slow-release carbs — ideal from 6 months.

Why potato & corn are a winning combo
Potatoes provide complex carbohydrates for steady energy and B vitamins for development. Corn adds natural sweetness, vitamin C, fibre, and antioxidants like lutein that support eye health. Together, they make a creamy, comforting puree that babies love.
Ingredients
- 1 cob of corn
- 1 cup potato, diced
- 2 tbsp cooking liquid, breastmilk, or formula (optional, for thinning)
Instructions
- Dice potato into small cubes for even cooking.
- Steam potato and corn together until soft (about 12–15 minutes).
- Slice kernels off the cob.
- Blend potato and corn until smooth, adding liquid if needed.
- Spoon into Little Mashies reusable pouches or freeze in ice cube trays.
Confidence cue: Too thick? Add liquid. Too runny? Simmer longer. Trust your instincts — you can’t go wrong.
