Pear is usually one of the first fruits recommended by doctors because it is so uncommon for allergies and it helps soften the stool. Babies love it because it is so sweet. It is rich in simple sugars and fiber, so it is good for the digestive tract and helps with constipation. Often for those born with allergies and food intolerance peeled pear is one of the only fruits they can eat on the elimination diet. Pears can be stewed, steamed, baked, or fresh prior to being pureed for baby food.

1 frozen extra ripe banana
1 cups kale - ribs and stems removed
1 apple, cored and diced
1 extra ripe pear
1 cup coconut water
Step 1: Blend all ingredients in a high-spee d blender for 1 minute or until smooth
Step 2: Fill Little Mashies reusable pouches via the wide ziplock at the base
Step 3: Serve straight away, store in the fridge or freeze for later. You can also use Mashies frozen as an ice brick to keep your lunch box cool.
