Fish Stew

Fish is absolutely great food to provide your baby complete protein. It contains all amino acids and an amazing source of pure Omega 3s. It contains wondeful healthy nutrients important for growing baby.

Fish Stew

500 grams firm white fish such as cod or halibut
1 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 onion, peeled and chopped
1 carrot, peeled and chopped
1 stalk celery, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced (optional)
4 large fresh tomatoes, chopped
200 ml tomato juice
350 ml fish stock or vegetable stock
1 tablespoon fresh thyme and rosemary, minced
fine sea salt
cracked black pepper

Step 1: Sauté the onion, carrot and celery in olive oil until the onion becomes translucent.
Step 2: Add garlic and tomatoes and sauté a few minutes longer.
Step 3: Stir in the tomato juice and stock and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for about ten minutes until vegetables are tender.
Step 4: Add the fish to the stew and simmer until the fish is cooked through.
Step 5: Season with salt and pepper and stir in the fresh herbs.
Step 6: Serve immediately or puree and cool in order to serve in the Little Mashies pouch.
