Pear is usually one of the first fruits recommended by doctors because it is so uncommon for allergies and it helps soften the stool. Babies love it because it is so sweet. It is rich in simple sugars and fiber, so it is good for the digestive tract and helps with constipation. Often for those born with allergies and food intolerance peeled pear is one of the only fruits they can eat on the elimination diet. Pears can be stewed, steamed, baked, or fresh prior to being pureed for baby food.

Pear And Banana YoghurtIngredients:
1 cup pear, cored and chopped
1/4 cup full fat yogurt
Step 1: Steam the diced pears in a stovetop steamer or a Beaba Baby Cook system
Step 2: Puree all ingredients in a food processor or blender such as the Baby Bullet.
Step 3: If preparing baby food in bulk freeze the puree into ice-cube trays or straight into Little Mashies reusable food pouches.
